Roots as a Corporate Lawyer
Although I have been working as an independent lawyer for over 30 years, I am still a corporate lawyer at heart and intend to remain so. In concrete terms, this means that for me, law is not an end in itself, but solely a tool for achieving corporate goals and, thus, the goals of our clients.
My 11 years as a corporate legal counsel, predominantly in a senior position and reporting directly to the management, have shaped me. There, I understood and internalized the importance of sales pressure and that a company cannot survive on the business it doesn't do.

Caution is necessary – but a good corporate counsel and lawyer not only recognizes the risks, but also works hard to find a solution to them. Solutions must be practical and presented promptly – therefore, rapid response times are a fundamental part of my work for my clients. My relationship with my clients is characterized by my understanding of their business and by taking their specific work processes and other particularities into account when advising them.
My specialization in IT law, factoring law, and central settlement law is essential for providing truly competent advice to my clients. When advisory tasks lie outside my core competencies, I often act – at my clients' request – as an outsourced legal department for my clients and coordinate collaboration with other specialists, for example, in the areas of corporate law, labor law, and antitrust law.
My private passions are my wife and my two adult sons, mechanical watches, old open-top cars and reading books on all kinds of non-fiction topics, including novels.
