Personal Information
What did a student in the 80s do if they owned an electric train set but were interested in computers? That's right, they sold the set and bought a Commodore 64. That's where it all started. I then self-taught myself in Basic, Pascal, Assembler, dBASE, etc., studied law, and then pursued postgraduate studies in administrative sciences, including administrative informatics. Today, I no longer program, but I'm a dedicated Linux user. I hate chatty devices, so I use custom ROMs.
My professional career began as a consultant and in-house lawyer at an IT consulting firm. I experienced the "New Market" firsthand. I have now been working as a lawyer for over 25 years, almost exclusively in IT and data protection law. I focus on drafting and negotiating IT contracts for my clients' national and international business. I am interested in the technical content of service level agreements as well as, for example, liability and usage rights clauses in framework agreements. Compliance issues, AI, and data law are playing an increasingly important role. DORA, AI-Act, NIS2, and the Data Act are part of my daily business.

A focus of my contract work is software in the cloud, but also still on-premises. In doing so, I frequently have to clarify data protection issues, provide legal support for implementation and onboarding, and deal with regulatory issues regarding outsourcing and spin-offs (including DORA ). Having reviewed, processed, and negotiated countless IT contracts, and having now been able to contractually support more than 70 SAP projects from R/3 to S/4HANA, as well as other ERP projects, I have considerable expertise in drafting ERP project contracts from both the provider and customer perspective.
I've been supporting most of my clients for many years, some for over 20 years, so I'm familiar with their core business, processes, and specifics. For some, I also act as external data protection officer through teamsec.de.
In my free time, I spend time with my family, ride my mountain bike (without the "E" yet) or walk. I also enjoy reading about technology and history.
